يَحْيَى
Told to hold firmly to the Scripture, and given wisdom while still a child.
Yahya was the son given to Zakariyya, with a name no one had before (19:7). He was commanded to hold to the Book with strength, and was given wisdom as a child (19:12). He was given tenderness and purity, was devout and dutiful to his parents, and was neither arrogant nor disobedient (19:13-14). He confirmed a word from Allah, and was a leader, chaste, and a prophet among the righteous (3:39).
Peace is upon him on the day he was born, the day he dies and the day he is raised alive (19:15). The story of his killing comes through reports linked to the Gospel, which islamweb's article does not establish.
يَـٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا ١٢
[Allāh said], "O John, take the Scripture [i.e., adhere to it] with determination." And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy

12. (It was said to his son): "O Yahyâ (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.

وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا ١٥
And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive.

15. And Salâm (peace) be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again)!
