The rights of brotherhood: no envy, cheating, hatred or contempt, for taqwa is in the heart.

The hadith

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Do not envy one another, and do not inflate prices for one another, and do not hate one another, and do not turn away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade, but [rather] be slaves of Allah and brothers [amongst yourselves]. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not oppress him, nor does he fail him, nor does he lie to him, nor does he hold him in contempt. Taqwa (piety) is right here [and he pointed to his chest three times]. It is evil enough for a man to hold his brother Muslim in contempt. The whole of a Muslim is inviolable for another Muslim: his blood, his property, and his honour.” [Muslim]

Lessons

Muslims are brothers, joined by faith and taqwa. What destroys the bond is forbidden: envy, false bidding to raise a price, hatred, turning away, undercutting another's sale, and contempt. Unity is a duty (3:103); help your brother whether wronged or wronging, the second by stopping him; and a Muslim's life, property and honour are sacred.

In practice: deal honestly, wish others well, and never look down on a Muslim.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Don't nurse grudge and don't bid him out for raising the price and don't nurse aversion or enmity and don't enter into a transaction when the others have entered into that transaction and be as fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim. All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith: his blood, his wealth and his honour
